This morning, a young man named Ayaz Ahmad Kaloo, son of Gh Mohammad Kaloo from Kulhama Bandipora, tragically drowned in the River Jhelum at Delina Ghat, Baramulla, during sand excavation work. Fellow workers made every effort to save him, but his body was recovered only after several hours of searching.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident, completing all necessary formalities, and have handed the body over to his family for the last rites. The tragic accident has left the local community in mourning.
