Srinagar,Nov 06 :

Meteorological department on Monday has predicted light rain, snow from 8th to 10th November in Jammu and Kashmir.

An official MeT told news agency that currently, the weather is mainly clear to partly cloudy. He said that on 6th-7th November, weather will remain mainly dry.

However on 8th November, Fairly to generally cloudy with light rain over plains and light snow over few higher reaches, he added.

On 9th November, Generally cloudy with light rain over plains and light snow over higher reaches (Razdan Pass, Sadhna Pass Sinthan Pass, Zojila and Mughal Road), he said.

On 10th November, Fairly to Generally cloudy with light rain/snow at isolated places in the morning hours and improvement thereafter. From 11th-15th November, weather will remain Mainly dry again, he said.

During this period, there will be dip in maximum temperature, he said.

MeT department also issued an advisory, urging farmers to suspend farm operations during this period particularly on 9th November.

Travellers are also advised to plan their journey accordingly as there is possibility of temporary disruption of surface transportation over higher reaches due to slippery conditions during this period.
