BUDGAM, JULY 16:

A meeting of ten elected members of District Development Council, Budgam was held wherein some important matters with respect to the functioning of the District development Council were discussed and also moved a no-confidence motion against the incumbent chairperson.

As per a resolution, the members said that there is already a dispute with respect to the election of the chairperson of the council, which has been put to challenge before a competent forum.

“However, the members felt it necessary that the chairman has failed to deliver any kind of developmental work on the ground and has failed to deliver the things.”

The resolution reads that the members unanimously acknowledged that the DDC Chairperson from the date of assuming the charge of the office has not held any program for the development within the district and has even failed to maintain social connections with people and address their day-to-day problems.

“The members of the District Development Council have resolved to move a no-confidence motion against the said DDC Chairperson in the larger interests of the public of District Budgam.”

It reads that in this regard, all the elected members present today have signed this resolution without any force, coercion or undue influence for removing the chairman.(KNS).
