One New Black Fungus Reported,Toll 27

Jammu and Kashmir reported 448 new covid-19 cases while 11 more people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

They said 183 of fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 265 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 313476.

Regarding deaths, the officials told GNS that two each were reported from Jammu Division and Kashmir respectively, taking the fatality count 4284.

Providing the district-wide details, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 95 cases, Baramulla 32, Budgam 18, Pulwama 30, Kupwara 17, Anantnag 36, Bandipora 15, Ganderbal 14, Kulgam 6, Shopian 2, Jammu 22, Udhampur 13, Rajouri 19, Doda 23, Kathua 8, Samba 5, Kishtwar 23, Poonch 11, Ramban 12 and Reasi 47.

Moreover, they said, 682 more COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours—170 from Jammu Division and 512 from Kashmir. 302655 patients have recovered so far, leaving active cases at 6537—2510 in Jammu and 4027 in Kashmir.

One new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) has been reported today, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 27 in J&K.

A number of fresh covid-19 cases were confirmed at diagnostic labouratories of CD hospital here and GMC Anantnag.

The CD cases include male (54) from Namlabal Pampore, male (26) from Kakapora, male (22) from Awantipora, male (63) from Drangbal Pampore, male (35) from Kadlabal Pampore, male (45) from Zaffron Colony Pampore, female (20) from Bargam, female (19) from Bagh Sangerwani, female (80) from Naidkadal, male (35) from Nowhatta, female (56) from Rathpora, male (70) from Kalamabad Handwara, female (65) from Khag Budgam, four males (60, 45, 38, 15 Months) and female (60) from NA, male (65) from Batamaloo, female (48) from Barzulla, male (60) from Aali Kadal Srg, male (70) from Kupwara, female (51) from Srinagar, male (7) from Bandipora, female (29) from Batmaloo, female (28) from Chattabal, male (38) and female (35) from Rawalpora, male (61) from HMT, male (50) from Bemina, male (65) from Batmaloo, female (50) from Alochibagh, female (25) from Pather Masjid, male (65) from Bemina, two males (8, 6) from Rawalpora, female (50) from Pattan, male (34) from Habak, male (32) from Eidgah, male (55) from Khaniyar, male (24) from Barne, female (21) from Lal Bazar, female (30) from Khanyar, male (49) from Zakura, male (30) from Budgam, female (25) from Habak, male (35) from Harwan, male (21) from Shanpora, male (39) from Parimpora, male (23) and two females (60, 28) from Lal Bazar, male (18) from Soura, female (35) from Eidgah, male (24) from Mill Stop, male (60) and female (54) from Rawalpora and male (75) from Kishtwar.

The GMC Anantnag cases include male (60) from Naidpora Larkipora, male (30) from Gund Fatehpora, seven females (50, 12, 8, 4, 8, 35, 30) and five males (35, 33, 22, 25, 20) from Dar Mugalgund, three males (53, 24, 39) from D M Killam, male (28) and female (50) from Mandipora, female (65) from Alamganj, female (50) from Qaimoh, male (18) from Danew Bogund, male (34) from Redwani Bala, two males (55, 48) from Monghall, male (30) from Sahib Abad Achabal, female (21) from Heaven Colony Ang, female (55) from S K Colony, male (43) from Chowgam Shangus, male (18) from Achabal, male (29) from Tailwani and male (60) from Brakpora.
