International players heaps praise for Malik, Bhogle asks ‘anymore from J&K’

After surprising every one with his sheer pace, Umran Malik, a young cricketer from J&K bowls the fastest delivery of the IPL season 2021 in his second match on Wednesday.
Malik on Wednesday bowled at 153 KPH which was the fastest delivery of the season. He, in his four over spell, was consistently bowling over 150 KPH.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), earlier on Sunday, Malik, a resident of Gujjar Nagar Jammu become the fourth player from Jammu and Kashmir to get a cap in the IPL after Parvaiz Rasool, Rasikh Salam and Abdul Samad. He impressed everyone in his very first match by bowling the fastest delivery by any Indian bowler in IPL season 2021.
In his quota of four overs, Malik conceded 21 runs and claimed one wicket. In his first match he conceded only 27 runs but went wicketless.
Meanwhile after watching his sheer pace, many international cricketers have heaped praises for Malik .
Indian cricket team Captain Virat Kohli said that the tournament throws up talent every year and it is good to see a guy bowling at 150 clicks.
“It is very important to know the progress of individuals going forward and whenever you see talent like this you need to nurture them,” Kohli said.
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson at the post match presentation said that Malik is very special as he is a real competitor and is proving effective on slower surfaces.
“There is something about his pace that has you on the edge of your seat. Malik isn’t just a tearaway. He look a proper bowler and we need to look after him,” said renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle.
Bhogle while tagging Irfan Pathan who is said to be the mentor of both Malik and Samad said that, ” @Irfan Pathan, any more there in Jammu and Kashmir.”—(KNO)
