IGP Suleman Choudhary, Sujit Kumar, Vivek Gupta Among Awardees

As many as 17 officers and personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police, including three Inspector Generals of Police, have been awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service in recognition of their distinguished and dedicated service.

According to details availablewith news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, those awarded include Inspector Generals Mohd Suleman Choudhary, Sujit Kumar and Vivek Gupta.

Other awardees include Himat Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Champa Devi Sharma, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Khushwant Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Gurmeet Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police; Anil Sharma, Inspector; Reyaz Ahmad Langoo, Inspector; Sardar Singh, Inspector; Neeraj Kumar Koul, Inspector; and Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Inspector.

The list also features Sham Lal, Assistant Sub-Inspector; Gopal Singh, Head Constable; Tawheed Ahmad Thoker, Constable; Shubh Kumar, Constable; and Balwinder Singh Bali, Assistant Sub-Inspector.

The medals have been conferred in appreciation of the officers’ commitment, professionalism and exemplary contribution to policing and public service in Jammu and Kashmir. (KNC)
