URI BARAMULLA, MAY 26:

A 32-year-old shopkeeper has died after receiving a strong electric jolt in frontier Uri town in north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday evening.

Reports reaching news agency GNS said that one Mohammad Safeer Mughal son of Mohammad Shafi Mughal resident of Mariyan Kamalkote along Line of Control was doing some repair work of a local transformer and during the course of time received a strong electric shock.

The individual was immediately evacuated to sub-district hospital Uri, however the doctors there declared him as brought dead on arrival.

A police official confirming the incident told GNS that a case has been registered in this regard for further investigations. (GNS)
