Srinagar, Apr 04 :

Four non-locals were shot and injured in two separate incidents in Pulwama district in the last 24 hours.

Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a driver and conductor were shot at and injured in Litter tehsil of Pulwama on Sunday evening while two labourers were shot and injured in Lajurah area of Pulwama on Monday afternoon.

The duo was immediately removed to hospital for treatment. They were identified as Patlashwar Kumar son of Joko Chowdary with firearm injury in right arm and Joko Chowdary son of Thaugh Chowdary with bullet injuries in right arm and right leg. Both are residents of Bihar.

The condition of the duo is stable, they said, adding, the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

On Sunday evening militants fired upon the driver and conductor of a vehicle carrying broiler chicks in Awdoora Nowpora area of Pulwama district, an official said.

Locals removed the duo Surinder son of Bishan Singh resident of Pathankot with bullet injury in chest and Deeraj Dat son of Susheel Dat of Pathankot with bullet injury in both legs to district hospital.

They are undergoing treatment at different hospitals and their condition is said to be stable—(KNO)
