The District Judiciary Baramulla convened a solemn condolence meeting today in the lawns of the District Court Complex, Baramulla, to mourn the sudden and untimely demise of Mr. Raja Tasleem, Special Judge, UAPA Court, Baramulla. Mr. Tasleem passed away after a brief but serious illness in Delhi. All Judicial Officers posted at the headquarters, the Bar President and members of the Bar Association Baramulla, Prosecuting Officers posted at the headquarters along with their staff, Judicial Employees, Ministerial Staff of the Courts, and a large number of litigants participated in the condolence meet, expressing profound grief and sorrow.
In the condolence meeting, Mr. Jawad Ahmad, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Baramulla, highlighted the commendable virtues, professional integrity, and unwavering dedication exhibited by the late Mr. Raja Tasleem throughout his distinguished career. He remarked that Mr. Raja Tasleem’s commitment to justice, his humble demeanour, and his deep sense of responsibility left a lasting and indelible impression on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
On behalf of the Judicial Officers of the U.T of J&K and, in particular, the District Judiciary Baramulla, Mr. Jawad Ahmad expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He also conveyed the sympathies and prayers of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Judge, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, and Administrative Judge for District Baramulla, to the bereaved family, acknowledging Mr. Raja Tasleem’s invaluable contributions to the judiciary. The President of the Bar Association, Baramulla, along with fellow members, Prosecuting Officers and their staff, Judicial Employees, and Ministerial Staff of the Courts posted at the headquarters, also shared their sorrow and remembered Mr. Raja Tasleem as a noble soul, an upright judge, and a beacon of fairness and humility, whose contributions to the justice system will always be remembered with reverence.
During the condolence meeting, Fateha Khawani was led by Senior Advocate Mr. Ab. Salam Rather for the departed soul, and a two-minute silence was observed to pray for eternal peace to the departed.
In this hour of grief and deep sorrow, the entire judicial fraternity, in particular the District Judiciary Baramulla, stands united with the family of the deceased and extends heartfelt sympathies, prayers, and unwavering support.
