SRINAGAR JANUARY 30:

Police in Srinagar have arrested a fraudster for fleecing people on the pretext of providing jobs in airlines at Srinagar airport.

On 29/01/2022, Police Station Shergarhi received a complaint from Umar Ali resident of Shalpora Allochibagh alleging that he has been cheated by Mushtaq Ahmad son of Mohd Ashraf Janjoo resident of Frestwar Khansahab Budgam on pretext of providing a job in airlines at Srinagar Airport. He further alleged that he had paid an amount of ₹93,900/- to the said tout.

Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 16/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation, the accused was arrested and with the assistance of technical support of Cyber Police an amount of ₹58,800/- has been recovered. Investigations also revealed that there are several other persons who have been cheated on the pretext of being provided with jobs by the accused person. Further investigation into the matter.
