A soldier died while another was injured after a truck hit them near Fruit Mandi Parimpora area of Srinagar city.
Sources told News Agency Kashmir NewsTrust that a speeding truck hit two soldiers who were part of a Road Opening Party.
The truck driver after the incident didn’t stop and fled away from the spot.
Sources added that one of the soldiers identified as Constable Sanjay Kumar died on the spot while another soldier Rafiq Ahmed has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
Police sources said that both the soldiers are affiliated with Territorial Army.
Police have registered a case in this regard. (KNT)
