Shopian, Mar 8 :

Authorities placed a Nurse under suspension after family members of a female patient alleged that she was administered expired glucose in the emergency ward at Sub District Hospital Kellar area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Chief Medical Officer Shopian, Dr Arshid Hussain Tak confirmed to news agency Kashmir News Trust saying that a Nurse has been suspended till the inquiry is completed. He said that a time-bound inquiry has been ordered into the incident.

Earlier, the family of a patient (wife of Altaf Hussain) of Ringwad village staged a protest against the hospital authorities claiming that the patient developed some complications after she was administered ‘expired’ glucose at SDH Kellar.

The protesters blocked the traffic, prompting authorities to take action against the accused Nurse. (KNT)
