Srinagar, Mar 17 :

Asia’s largest Tulip garden on the foothills of Zabarwan in Srinagar will be thrown open for the general public on 23 March this month.

Director, Department of Gardens, Parks and Floriculture, Farooq Ahmed Rather told news agency Kashmir News Trust that this season 1.5 million tulips with 68 varieties and different species of Magnolia, Daffodils, and ornamental peach will bloom in the garden.

“Last year 325 lakh visitors visited the garden and this year we expect an increase in the footfall. Tulip Garden will fascinate the visitors, especially tourists,” the Director said adding that an open-air cafeteria has also been set up for the visitors. (KNT)
