Five families renderd homeless, locals demand compensation to the affected families

Baramulla, June 09 : A double-story residential house was gutted in a fire incident that broke out on Tuesday midnight in Zehanpora locality of Boniyar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Locals said that the fire broke out at around 11:50 PM in Sheikh Mohalla locality of Zehanpora in Tehsil Boniyar.

They said that soon after the fire broke out local reached the spot and tried to douse the flames but couldn’t brought the massive fire under control.

People alleged that despite repeated calls to fire service and police nobody reached for their help.

However, there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the incident.

Locals said that the house belongs Lal Shiekh S/o Abdul Aziz Sheikh of Sheikh Mohalla Zehanpora.

They said that property worth lakhs was destroyed in the fire incident while the reason behind the mishap was yet to be ascertained.
