Baramulla, May 08 :

A mother of two doughters who was injured after allegedly being beaten by her husband in Kokathal locality of Kreeri in Baramulla district, succumbed to her injuries on Sunday evening at SKIMS Soura even as police have arrested the accused.

An official told SNS Kashmir that the victim had mark of violence on her body and trauma in head . She was in the ICU at SKIMS Soura, however, she breathed her last today evening.

Earlier, family members of the woman had alleged that their daughter was being mentally and physically harassed by her husband and in-laws for past many years.

They alleged that her husband beat her on Eid due which she received critical injuries and was subsequently taken to SKIMS Soura for treatment, where she was battling for life for past many days and today she breathed her last.

Meanwhile, SSP Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat told SNS KASHMIR that they have already arrested the accused person Tariq Ahmad Mir husband of the lady in the instant case and the matter was being further investigated .

He said that SIT has been Constituted and headed by Add SSP Baramulla other members of sit are SDPO kreree . SHO Kreree and other police officials to investigate the sensitive cases .

He said that a case stands registered at police station Kreeri and the accused will be given strict punishment as per the merits of the case.

it is shocking that the victim was mother of two doughters one is 3 + and anather one is one year old .
