ADC Sopore says erring principal did not follow official instructions, ‘Will suspend teachers if students continue protest’

Sopore, Jun 25 :

Students of Higher Secondary School Botingoo in Sopore area of Baramulla district held a peaceful protest demonstration against Tehsildar Dangerpora for issuing arrest warrant against principal of the school.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that students, holding placards, demanded action against the concerned tehsildar.

The students termed the move as a direct attack on dignity and integrity of the principal and the institution.

Sources said that lackadaisical approach and non-compliance with magisterial orders, forced Tehsildar to issue arrest warrant against the principal.

Meanwhile, additional deputy commissioner Sopore, Parveez Sajad Ganaie told KNS that the principal was invited to Tehsil office, besides he was called several times but he never followed the instructions.

He said that strict action will be taken against those affecting peaceful environment and anyone found instigating students for protests will be dealt with strictly.

ADC added that teachers will be suspended if the students continued their protests. (KNS)
