Accused Has Been Arrested Besides The Vehicle Also Seized: SSP Handwara

Srinagar, Jun 26: 

An 8-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a passenger vehicle at his native village Zachaldara in Handwara of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district this afternoon.

Reports reaching GNS said that one Irfan Ahmad Sheikh son of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Zachaldara was fatally hit by a sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK09-2591. The boy was subsequently evacuated to PHC Zachaldara from where he was referred to DH Handwara, where the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival.

Confirming the incident, SSP Handwara Sheema Nabi Qasba told GNS that a case has been registered into the incident for further investigations. “The accused has been arrested besides the vehicle also seized”, she further said. (GNS)
