Medical Superintendent GMC Associated Hospital lodges complaints with the Principal Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department, J&K against Associate Professor of Gynae & Obs. Department for alleged ‘misbehavior and misconduct’

Who is responsible for mismanagement in the Associated Hospital GMC Baramulla? –this question strikes every conscious mind in Baramulla after complaints flood both mainstream and social media against the hospital. A letter accessed by SNS Kashmir reveals that it is the internal tussle between doctors and hospital administration due to which gullible patients and attendants suffer.
A complaint letter addressed to The Principal Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department, J&K (UT) by Medical Superintendent Associated Hospital GMC Baramulla bearing No:AH-GMC/Bla/2022/ 1320-22 Date:- 28/06/22 ( copy of which lies with SNS Kashmir) revealed that an Assistant Professor Dr. Humera Noor of Gynae & Obs. Department has allegedly misbehaved with Medical Superintendent Associated Hospital GMC Baramulla after the former asked “some minor civil repairs should be done on urgent basis.”
Interestingly, following complaints by patients and attendants who took help of social media to highlight their plight in hospital , Assistant Professor namely Dr. Humera Noor of Gynae & Obs. Department appeared on social media blaming breach of privacy and rush of patients in the hospital to negate the allegations of a complainant who alleged patients were not given proper treatment and two to three patients are kept on one bed besides paramedical staff and nurses who disappear from wards during night duty.
The complaint letter’s subject reads, “misconduct and arrogant behavior of Dr. Humera Noor Assistant Professor Department of Gynae & Obs.”
“ With due respect and regards to your goodself it is hereby stated that today on 28-06-2022 at 11:45 AM one Assistant Professor namely Dr. Humera Noor of Gynae & Obs. Department misbehaved with undersigned in front of Dr. Yasser Bashir Assistant Professor General Medicine and Dr. Tanveer Mohi-ud-din I/C Deputy Medical Superintendent and other staff members on the pretext that some minor civil repairs should be done on urgent basis,” the complaint letter addressed to The Principal Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department, J&K (UT) reads.
The letter further states that she was politely requested that the same is in process and the same can be done on priority in near future.
“But she shouted at me and rebutted in front of two doctors and other staff. In the past also she misbehaved with various officials and attendants and repeatedly there were queries raised especially from Gynae department,” alleges Medical Superintendent GMC Associate Hospital.
The letter revealed that the matter has been brought into the notice of Worthy Principal GMC Baramulla also.
“It is humbly requested to your goodself that necessary steps may kindly be taken in this regard so that hospital atmosphere does not get spoiled,” the letter reads.
