Handwara police on Thursday said that it has seized 13 cfts illicit timber in Bakihakar area of Handwara in North kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A police official told hear that the Police station Handwara following an information regarding illicit timber lying in the premises of Showkat Ahmad Sheikh son of Gull Sheikh of Bakihakar deputed a police party and recovered illicit timber approximately 13 cfts.
He said that the timber was seized and a case FIR No.253/2022 U/S 379 IPC, 26 IF Act has been registered at PS Handwara and investigation initiated.
