Legal Metrology Department has booked Kathua based Edible Oil brand for selling underweight products in Anantnag.
As per the official sources, during the inspection by Legal Metrology Officials today at Anantnag, The mustard oil namely Golden Agmark was found to be sold by lesser quantity as per the declared value on the package. The 5 Litre Oil Tins were found short by 160ML and 15 Litre pack was found short by 210 ml.
The quantity was checked by the officials of Legal Metrology Department in presence of the general public here at Main Chowk Anantnag which led the department officials to seize 245 of such packages.
On the packages of such oil brands, Quantity was declared as 5 Litres but when the same was measured, it was showing only 4.84 Litres after measurement. Similarly, the 15 Litre pack was found short by 210 ML.CNS
