Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Sarmad Hafeez on Monday said that Drung is a promising tourist destination of Tangmarg in northern Kashmir which would be promoted in a bigger way on tourism map.
Speaking to media persons here at Drung, Secretary, tourism and Culture, said that the Drung and it’s adjoining areas have tremendous tourism potential and the government is in process to upgrade infrastructure facilities to attract more tourists to these area.
“Very soon these areas will be brought on tourism map. Local people are also standing side by side with the government to make this area a hub of tourism and we hope very soon we will make it one of finest tourist destination,” he added.
“We have already issued guidelines for homestay’s and we want people here to convert their houses into home stays so that the youth here can get employment,” he added.
