Baramulla:World No Tobacco Day Observed at Government Boys Middle School Sheeri Payeen Zone Fathegarh Government Boys Middle School Sheeri Payeen actively observed World No Tobacco Day with great enthusiasm.
The students and teachers of school came together to highlight the theme of the day, “We Need Food, Not Tobacco.”The morning assembly began with the school senior teacher Reyaz Ahmad Ganai addressing the significance of World No Tobacco Day and the adverse effects of tobacco on our health.
He emphasized the importance of raising awareness among the youth, students and creating a tobacco-free environment. A pledge was taken by all students and teachers to stay away from tobacco and encourage others to do the same.
To further emphasize the harmful effects of tobacco, students also delivered speeches on the topic during the assembly.
Addressing the morning Assembly senior teacher Ghulam Nabi Bhat put forth facts and figures about tobacco consumption and its impact on individuals and society. The presentations highlighted the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the role of nutritious food in promoting well-being.As part of the awareness campaign, the students had also prepared posters and banners with slogans promoting the theme of the day.
These were displayed throughout the school premises, drawing attention to the message, “We Need Food, Not Tobacco.” The vibrant and creative artwork showcased the students’ dedication to spreading awareness and fostering a tobacco-free environment.The teachers actively participated in the campaign, conducting interactive sessions in their respective classrooms to educate students about the dangers of tobacco and the benefits of a nutritious diet.
