KUPWARA, JULY,28 :

A grand certificate ceremony was held at Town Hall Kupwara, where certificate of course completion in Retail trainee associate among 60 male and female youth were distributed. Certifying agency is RASCI. The project is supported by IIFL Foundation, the CSR initiative of IIFL, and implemented by a delhi based NGO REACHA in collaboration with 41RR of Indian Army.

REACHA is engaged in providing gainful employment to unemployed youth of Kupwara in Retail and Hospitality sector supported by IIFL Foundation. So far 180 trainees in Retail domain have been imparted training successfully and out of them 80 have been provided employment opportunities in private sector. Similarly in Commis Chef course of hospitality, 80 students have been trained and 50 have been successfully placed/OJT in different companies as shared by the project implementation team based at Kupwara. Another 80 youth will be trained in Commis Chef by December 2023 with support of IIFL Foundation.

The District Commissioner (DC) of Kupwara lauded the efforts of all stakeholders in implementing such a wonderful project in the district and emphasized the importance of skill development in empowering the local youth.

Besides DC Kupwara, the CO 41 RR Col MS Navalgatti, Manager District Industries Department Mr Mudasir Ahmad, KAS representatives of EDI and other departments were also present on the occasion.

The ceremony marked an important milestone in the journey of the youth, as they received well-deserved certificates for completing their respective skill training programs.

REACHA has been collaborating with IIFL Foundation under the supervision and facilitation of Indian Army and successfully handling various projects that have had a tremendous impact on the community.
