The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Centre on timeframe to make Jammu and Kashmir a State again. The top court question came during the hearing of Article 370 abrogation case.
According to details available with Kashmir News Service (KNS), during the hearing a batch of pleas challenging the abrogation of Article 370, the top court asked the Centre on timeframe to make J&K a State again.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who is representing the Centre in the case said that the statement has been made on the floor of the house in Parliament.
He added that efforts are being made, once situation returns to normal, Statehood to J&K would be restored, to which the top court replied “restoration of democracy is important.”KNS
