People of Qaziabad Langate had a sigh of relief when Wildlife department captured a black bear from residential area of Mongwalpora village of Kupwara district.
Wildlife official from Langate area confirmed the trap of black bear from Langate village.
“We had been receiving frequent calls from the residents regarding the roaming of the black bear in the area” and a trap was laid to capture the bear, he said.
After many efforts, the beast was successfully captured today early morning, the official said.
Meanwhile, residents from the area said that the bear was active for last many days now and had caused severe damage to the standing crops and livestock.(KNS)
