Srinagar reports 80 fresh cases, case tally at 326,653, death toll stands at 4,412, active cases reaches to 1,293 recovery rate at 98.26 percent

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 10 :

Jammu and Kashmir Friday witnessed one death and 173 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,293.

With one more death, the death toll in the UT has reached 4,412 and 173 fresh positive cases reported on Friday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 326,653.

Of the exact number of 326,653 cases, 203,393 are from Kashmir division and 123,260 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 173 new cases, 150 belong to Kashmir division while as 23 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 203,393 including 200,086 recoveries and 2,245 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 123,260 including 120,862 recoveries and 2,167 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,293 including 1,062 from Kashmir division and 231 from Jammu division.

With 142 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 320,948 which is 98.26 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 80 from Srinagar, 12 from Baramulla, 21 from Budgam, 07 from Pulwama, 09 from Kupwara, 06 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 08 from Ganderbal, 05 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 23 from Jammu division include 02 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 04 from Rajouri, 10 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 03 from Poonch, 02 from Ramban and 02 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

Meanwhile, authorities on Friday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 45.

One covid death was reported at GMC Rajouri.

As per officials figures, 72,998 positive cases including 837 deaths and 71,549 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,054 including 282 deaths and 23,627 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,335 including 22,986 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,379 including 15,155 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,281 including 166 deaths and 14,086 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,470 including 16,242 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,668 cases including 9,539 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,163 including 10,062 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,443 including 11,301 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,602 including 5,539 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 53,060 including 51,866 recoveries and 1,142 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,385 including 11,243 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,124 including 10,861 recoveries and 236 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,648 including 7,466 recoveries and 130 deaths are from Doda, 9,286 including 9,135 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,138 including 7,013 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,797 including 4,736 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,333 including 6,222 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 6,005 including 5,921 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,484 including 6,399 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin 3,366,332 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,300 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,293 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 2,885,835 persons have completed the surveillance period and 466,492 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 13,834,906 samples are available. Out of 13,834,906 the number of samples tested negative stands at 13,508,253 while as 326,653 have tested positive, among them 1,293 persons are active, 320,948 persons have recovered and 4,412 persons have died—(KNO)
