Distributes education kits and conduct painting competition for students

Baramulla, June 21, 2024: In a heartwarming initiative, the Renukiran Welfare Foundation, a Delhi-based civil society organization, distributed 50 school kits to underprivileged students in the Narvaw zone. The event took place at the Government Boys Middle School Sheeri Payeen, in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The distribution was part of the “Reach Kids, Teach Kids” program, aimed at supporting Kashmiri children. The event also featured a painting competition, in which 50 children from 10 different schools in the Narvaw zone showcased their artistic talents.

Several dignitaries graced the occasion, including the Block Medical Officer of Sheeri Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Former Village Education Committee member and former Sarpanch Ghulam Rasool Bhat, Headmaster of Government Middle School Sheeri Payeen, headmasters of other schools, and other representatives from the Department of Education.

Rayees Ahmad, the program lead, expressed his joy in supporting the children. “Renukiran is dedicated to child education, women’s empowerment, and health and hygiene in the country’s most challenging areas. It was a token of appreciation and happiness to distribute school kits to children who need them the most,” he said while speaking to the media.

The Renukiran Welfare Foundation continues to make significant strides in improving the lives of those in need, reaffirming its commitment to creating a better future for the next generation. The orphaned, needy, and poor students were not only provided with school kits but also given the opportunity to participate in a painting competition to develop their artistic skills.
