In a significant political development, the Apni Party suffered a major setback today as senior leaders from its Uri unit announced their decision to join the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (NC). The leaders, who have been pivotal in strengthening the Apni Party’s base in the Uri region, have expressed their disillusionment with the party’s leadership and direction. The leaders, during a press conference, highlighted their reasons for joining NC as party tired to sold them to some other person who doesn’t fit with their vision and agenda. The joining took place in presence of Mohammad Shafi Uri after the filing of nomination by Dr Sajad Shafi Uri for upcoming assembly election for Uri constituency. Apni party leaders have claimed to be betrayed by the Altaf Bukhari by extending his support to the Taj Mohiudin.
