BUDGAM, SEPTEMBER 30 :

Several people in district Budgam have claimed that they have received the fully vaccinated messages from NHP without getting the 2nd shot.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) these persons are saying that they have only got the one shot of COVID vaccine but they have received a message from NHP declaring them as fully vaccinated.

Bashir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Chadoora Budgam told KNO that on 25 September he received a message from NHP that he was fully vaccinated despite receiving only one shot of Covid vaccine.

The message Wani received reads, “Dear Bashir Ah Wani, You have successfully been vaccinated with your 2nd Dose with COVISHIELD on 25-09-2021 at 12:03 PM. You may download your vaccination Certificate from – https://cowin.gov.in – CoWIN.”

Wani said that his several colleagues have received the same message in which they were declared as fully vaccinated.

Another girl from Budgam said that she had never gone for the vaccination nor had she contacted anyone for the vaccination related queries, but she got an OTP from NHP for the registration of CoWIN.

The message she received reads, “Your OTP to register/access CoWIN is 655619. It will be valid for 3 minutes. CoWIN.”

Another woman Zaiba (60) a resident of Wathora Chadoora said that she too received a message that she was fully vaccinated, “however she had only taken one jab.”

Chief medical officer Budgam Tajamul Hussain Khan termed the incident as baseless allegation.

“These are just the baseless allegations. These people may have given the same number at time of registration which results in getting the double messages,” Khan said—(KNO)
