Come along with completed & signed Election Expenditure Registers, supporting vouchers, bank statements, affidavits’

Srinagar, Oct 31 :

The District Election Officer (DEO) Srinagar has called an account reconciliation meeting for all candidates who contested in the 2024 Legislative Assembly Elections.

The meeting notice issued by DEO Srinagar, a copy of which also lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) meeting will take place on 4 Nov 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Meeting Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Amar Niwas Complex, Tankipora, Srinagar.

According to the notice issued, the primary purpose of meeting is to scrutinize and reconcile the candidates’ statements of election expenditure.

Candidates or their authorized representatives have been asked to attend the meeting along with their completed and signed Election Expenditure Registers, supporting vouchers, bank statements, affidavits, and other necessary documents as per the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines on election expenditure monitoring.

“All the Contesting Candidates or their authorized Election Agents are hereby Informed through the medium of this notice to remain present on the said date, time and venue, along with duly completed/signed candidate’s Election Expenditure Registers with all supporting vouchers, Bank statements and Affidavits,” reads the notice.

The notice further states that an Election Expenditure Observer from the ECI will be present to oversee the reconciliation process, while all the concerned candidates have been notified to adhere strictly to the guidelines and attend the meeting as directed.KNO
