SRINAGAR:
In a commendable recognition of exceptional service, four officers from Jammu and Kashmir Police were awarded the prestigious ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’ for 2024 in the two different fields.
In the intelligence field, SSP Sanjay Parihar and Inspector Urfan-Parvej bagged the award while Mir Murtaza Hussain and Dr. Satish Bhardwa have been honoured specifically for their outstanding contributions in the field of investigation.
This initiative, spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and guided by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, aims to promote high professional standards within law enforcement.
A total of 463 police personnel from various states, Union territories, Central Armed Police Forces, and Central Police Organizations have been honored this year for their outstanding contributions in special operations, investigation, and forensic science, reported news agency Kashmir Dot Com.
Mir Murtaza Hussain currently serves as Additional Superintendent of Police in Sopore, while Dr. Satish Bhardwaj is the Sub-Divisional Police Officer in Jammu West.
The annual announcement of these medals coincides with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary, celebrated on October 31, reinforcing the commitment to enhance police morale and excellence across the nation.
