In anticipation of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations and a VVIP visit, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Shri Anand Jain, conducted a late-night review of security arrangements in Samba and Kathua districts on January 12.

Accompanied by senior officers, including DIG JSK Range, Shri Shiv Kumar, and SSPs of Kathua and Samba, the ADGP emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and security throughout the region. He directed officers to remain vigilant and proactive, ensuring a free, fair, and peaceful Republic Day celebration.

The review focused on strengthening border management systems and coordinating efforts between security agencies to address potential challenges. The ADGP directed the mobilization of additional forces in sensitive areas and stressed the significance of intelligence gathering and timely information sharing to preempt any security threats.

He also reviewed the overall law and order situation, assessing the police force’s readiness in terms of manpower, logistics, and resources. Officers were instructed to maintain high visibility in their respective jurisdictions and intensify security checks and patrols.

The ADGP underscored the importance of community engagement and building trust between the police and the public. DIG JSK Range briefed the ADGP on the present security scenario and measures taken to maintain peace and law and order in the region.

This comprehensive review aims to ensure a secure and peaceful Republic Day celebration and a smooth conduct of the forthcoming VVIP visit.
