Baramulla, Feb 03:

A violent altercation in the Sheeri area of Baramulla on Sunday left a young boy injured after he was stabbed multiple times. Officials confirmed that the victim, identified as Sahil Tariq Dar, sustained serious injuries to his head, back, and knee.

According to reports, the incident occurred following a previous altercation between the two individuals. After being stabbed, Dar was immediately rushed to Government Medical College, Baramulla, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.

Police have arrested the accused, identified as Ubaid Ahmed Gojiri, a resident of Sheeri. They stated that the duo had a dispute a few days ago, which escalated into a violent confrontation on Sunday, leading to the stabbing incident.

A police official confirmed the incident and said an investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of the incident and the motive behind the attack. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation, the officer added.–(RK)
