Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of JSK Range, convened a high-level meeting to devise a comprehensive action plan against criminals and gangsters.

The meeting, attended by senior police officials, including SSP Jammu Joginder Singh, SP North, SP South, and others, focused on strategies to dismantle the networks of gangsters, drug peddlers, and other antisocial elements.

In this Meeting, the DIG emphasized the need for strict action against gangsters, criminals, and elements disrupting Jammu’s peaceful environment.

He further directed officers to seize properties accumulated through illegal trades, including extortion, land grabbing, and property dealing.

He said that the support systems of criminals will be kept under surveillance, and their relatives and friends providing shelter will face legal action.

The DIG urged officers to adopt a mission-oriented approach to eliminate the illicit drug trade.

He further said that social media platforms and media outlets were directed to refrain from glorifying gangsters and criminals.

Various operations, including OPERATION CLEANUP, Operation SANJEEVANI, and Operation PATHSHALA, were discussed to ensure public safety.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to ensuring a peaceful environment in Jammu and a call to action for society members, media, NGOs, and volunteers to join hands in eradicating criminal elements.
