HANDWARA , OCTOBER 17 :

At least seven Jammu Kashmir National Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKNRLM) staffers sustained injuries after a cab they were on board met with an accident in Shogipora Magam in north Kashmir’s Handwara on Sunday afternoon.

Reports reaching GNS said that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK09A-2055, carrying the staffers from Tarathpora towards Srinagar turned turtle after skidding off the road, resulting in injuries to seven persons working under JKNRLM scheme. The injured persons have been identified as Mubeena Begum, Nasreena Bano, Mahjabeena Bano, Shahzada Akhter, Ateeqa Bano, Mansoor Ahmad War and Tahir Ahmad – all residents of Ramhall Handwara.

All the injured were immediately evacuated to District Hospital Handwara for treatment, where all of them are said to be stable.

Meanwhile a police official confirming the incident told GNS that a case has been registered in this regard. (GNS)
