Says Security Tight, Facilities Improved; Expects This Year’s Yatra to Surpass Previous Ones

Jammu, July 2 :

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that more than 4000 pilgrims have already left from Jammu towards the holy cave of Shri Amarnath Ji, with full security arrangements and improved facilities in place for this year’s Yatra.

Speaking to reporters after flagging off the first batch of pilgrims, LG Manoj Sinha as per news agency JKNS that over 4000 pilgrims have departed for the sacred pilgrimage of Lord Shiva.

“The Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board has made excellent arrangements for the devotees. The Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security forces have ensured tight security across the entire route,” he said.

He said that the strong enthusiasm among pilgrims arriving from various parts of the country. “The devotees of Lord Shiva have ignored recent terror threats and are arriving in large numbers. Their spirit remains unshaken,” LG Sinha added.

He further expressed hope that “this year’s Yatra will be even better and smoother than previous years,” praising the coordination between all departments involved in the pilgrimage arrangements. (JKNS)
