BARAMULLA, JULY 26:

Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Javid Ahmad Dar, today inaugurated the macadamization work on Seeloo and Bomai inner link roads in Baramulla district.
The project is aimed at strengthening the local infrastructure and providing greater convenience to the residents of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensure the basic facilities for the public, emphasizing that infrastructure development is key to improving the quality of life in rural areas. He highlighted that enhancing road connectivity is a core priority under the Omar Abdullah-led government, as it facilitates better access to markets, healthcare, education and other essential services.
Dar informed that execution of the works has commenced and assured that all pending roads will be macadamized in a phased manner. He further stressed that there will be no compromise on the quality of work and all vital projects will be completed within fixed timelines.
During the event, the local residents raised several demands pertaining to the availability of basic amenities.
The Minister assured them that all their genuine concerns would be addressed on priority.
Later, Javid Dar laid the foundation stone for widening and upgradation of the Watlab–Chetkak road. The project aims to facilitate smoother transportation and significantly reduce travel time for commuters.
Senior officers from various departments and a large number of local residents were present on the occasion.
