New Delhi, Sep 8 :

Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Monday strongly criticized the detention of his party’s lone legislator in Jammu and Kashmir, Mehraj Malik, under the Public Safety Act (PSA), terming it an attack on democratic rights.

In a post on X, Kejriwal wrote, (post translated from Hindi to English), “Is demanding a hospital for the people of your area such a grave crime that an elected MLA has to be thrown in jail for it? Mehraj Malik is the lion of the Aam Aadmi Party.”

He will always remain the voice of the people, fighting for their rights. Jail, threats, conspiracies none of these can ever silence an AAP soldier.”

Earlier MLA from Doda, was detained under PSA for allegedly disturbing public order. (KNC)
