KUPWARA ,OCTOBER 30 :

Indian Army organised a First Ever Satbaran Picnic for school going kids of Kalaroos block at Satbaran Caves, Listiyal, Kalaroos on 30 Oct 2021 . Total of 300 boys and girls from various Panchayats of Kalaroos block aged between 10 to 25 years participated in the event.

The event was aimed at promoting Satbaran Cave as an important tourist and picnic destination in Kalaroos and also provide an opportunity for kids to enjoy an afternoon full of fun and joy.

In the beginning, a cleanliness drive was organised wherein Indian Army personnel and kids cleaned the cave of all littered waste and plastics. Thereafter children enthusiastically took part in various activities and fun games organised during the picnic.

The activities included tug of war, performance by kids, musical chair and other village games . The enthusiasm and smile on their face were the testimony of fun which kids were having during the event. Majority of the local kids were first time visitors to caves and they were very happy to play and enjoy with so many other kids. It was a great break for them from otherwise monotonous daily routine and could rejunvente themselves before the upcoming board exams. It was a treat to watch small kids taking part in various games and enjoying freely without any care. Many kids came forward and showcased their talents through singing and dance performance .

The event was also attended by local Panchayat members and villagers who were very excited to see their kids taking part in such a fun-filled event which was taking place first time in the area.

In the end prizes were distributed amongst winners of the various games conducted during the event and delicious food was served to kids and all present there. This was the first ever event organised in Satbaran Caves. They requested Army to conduct more such events in the evening.
