Says Over 5,000 Fruit Trucks Cleared through NH-44, Mughal Road

Srinagar, Sep 19 :

The Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Friday said that restoration work on highways at key war-fighting bases has been successfully completed.

He also assured smooth transportation across the region.

Speaking with reporters at the NIT Srinagar, the Divisional Commissioner as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that over the past four days, more than 5,000 fruit-laden trucks have passed through the NHW and Mughal Road, restoring the flow of essential goods to markets.

He added that LPG, fuel, diesel, and petrol are in movement, and as of Friday morning, both the NH and Mughal Road are open for traffic in both directions.

He said that shortage of essecial supplies especially petrol will end by evening,

The Div Com also urged the public not to indulge in panic buying and requested them to rationalize their requirements, emphasizing that all supply issues will be resolved shortly and unnecessary stockpiling could cause avoidable difficulties.—(KNC)
