District Cyber Police Station Kathua under overall supervision of SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma -IPS has demonstrated its commitment to combat cyber crime by recovering defrauded amount of ₹ 12,47,262/-. in several number of complaints in the month of September & October 2025.

Cyber Police Station Kathua, a dedicated unit to deal with cases of online/offline frauds and cyber crime who has been relentlessly working for ensuring the safety and security of masses in general has once again successfully recovered an amount of ₹ 12,47,262/- from fraudsters in several cyber crime complaints who used to deceive the people by adopting different tactics regarding online trading and investment and extract money from victims.

In some complaint’s victim was asked to invest money through a telegram group and other platforms (Facebook, WhatsApp etc)
In this regard the complainants approached Cyber Police Station Kathua of being fraudulently cheated, taking the cognizance of matter the cyber police station Kathua took no time to start the investigation and acted swiftly while exhibiting the ultimate professional excellence through its dedicated skilled human resource was put to task and in no time the lost amount of Rs.12,47,262/- was recovered from the fraudsters.
Pertinently, from the date of establishment, Cyber Police Station Kathua has successfully recovered defrauded amount of Rs 1,18,80,550/- (Rupees One Crore Eighteen Lakh Eighty Thousand and Five Hundred Fifty) so far, this achievement of District Police Kathua underscores the unit’s expertise dedication and tireless efforts in safeguarding the common citizens against online fraud and cheating.
