Following a tragic bus accident late last night involving Umrah pilgrims near Madinah in Saudi Arabia, the Consulate General of India in Jeddah has established a 24×7 Control Room to assist affected families.

In a statement issued by Indian Consulate in Jeddah, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the helpline numbers for assistance are: 8002440003 (Toll-Free), 00966122614093, 00966126614276, and 00966556122301 (WhatsApp). “We express our deepest condolences to the bereaved families.”

The Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah are in close contact with the Saudi Haj and Umrah Ministry, local authorities, and the concerned Umrah operators to ensure coordinated support.

A team comprising Consulate staff and Indian community volunteers has been deployed across hospitals and relevant sites, monitoring the situation and facilitating assistance.

Both the Embassy and Consulate are extending full support, while also coordinating with authorities in the State of Telangana to assist the affected families. (KNC)
