Pays Rich Tributes to Magistrate Mir’s Dedicated Service for strengthening Baramulla’s juvenile justice system

Baramulla, Nov — In an atmosphere filled with respect and heartfelt emotions, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Baramulla, Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), Child Welfare Committee (CWC), and Prosecution Wing jointly bid an affectionate farewell to outgoing Principal Magistrate Altaf Ahmad Mir (KCS Judicial), who has been promoted and transferred as Sub-Judge Vailoo, Anantnag.
Senior officers, legal officials, and staff from the child-protection ecosystem gathered to acknowledge his remarkable contribution to Baramulla’s juvenile justice system.
Expressing his sentiments, Legal cum Probation Officer (LCPO) Mir Kasir said,“It has been an honour to work under the guidance of Principal Magistrate Altaf Ahmad Mir Sahib. His clarity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the rights of children have strengthened the entire juvenile justice framework in Baramulla. We deeply value his support and progressive approach. I wish him continued success and excellence in his new role as Sub-Judge Vailoo Anantnag.”
From the Child Welfare Committee, Chairperson Waseem Hassan Parray paid an emotional tribute, stating,“Altaf Ahmad Mir Sahib has always been a pillar of support for CWC and all child-protection mechanisms in the district. His empathetic attitude, professionalism, and child-centric vision have positively impacted countless lives. We thank him for his remarkable service and wish him the very best for his future assignment.”
The farewell gathering was also attended by Sr. APP Yasir Arfat, Suhail Mir from JJB Baramulla, and staff of DCPU, all of whom expressed admiration for the outgoing magistrate’s integrity and dedication.
Senior APP Yasir Arfat remarked,“The Principal Magistrate’s methodical approach and deep understanding of juvenile justice have always inspired us. His tenure in Baramulla has set high standards of integrity and judicial conduct. We extend our heartfelt wishes for his new posting.”
Speaking on the occasion, several officers highlighted Mir’s commitment to strengthening Baramulla’s juvenile justice system and ensuring a child-friendly, rights-based approach in handling cases.
JJB member Suhail Mir added,“Working with Altaf Ahmad Mir Sahib has been a learning experience. His leadership and humane perspective will always be remembered.”The DCPU team also shared collective sentiments, saying,“We express our sincere gratitude to Altaf Ahmad Mir Sahib for his guidance, cooperation, and consistent support to all child-protection initiatives. His legacy will remain an inspiration.”
The emotional send-off concluded with warm wishes, as officers and staff expressed hope that Judicial Megistrate Sub Judge Altaf Ahmad Mir’s new journey in Anantnag brings him greater opportunities to serve with the same compassion and dedication that marked his tenure in Baramulla.
