In order to commemorate Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas), as per the directions of Government of J&K, a small function was organized at Traffic HQ which was attended by all the officers and officials of Traffic HQ, Traffic Range Jammu, Traffic Police Rural Jammu. During the occasion Dr. Mohd. Haseeb Mughal-IPS, DIG Traffic Range Jammu threw light on the history behind of the Constitution of India and also read out the Preamble of the Constitution of India which was followed by all staff officers and officials.

The event marked the reaffirmation of commitment by the traffic Police officers and officials to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution of India. He highlighted that Constitution Day serves as a reminder of the responsibilities vested in every public servant to safeguard the rights of citizens and ensure transparency and justice in all policing efforts.

The DIG Traffic encouraged all ranks to uphold constitutional values in day-to-day traffic management and public service, emphasizing professionalism, accountability and courtesy while dealing with the public. He reiterated that adherence to the Constitution is the foundation of good governance and effective policing.

Among the participants Sh. Mohammad Rashid Bhat-JKPS, SO to IGP Traffic J&K, Sh. Farooq Qaiser-JKPS, SSP Traffic Rural Jammu, Sh. Ramesh Chander Kataria-JKPS, Private Secretary to DIG Traffic Jammu, Sh. Voonesh Sangotra, Sr.PO RTHQ Jammu, Smt. Benti Kumari Tickoo-JKPS, ADO RTHQ Jammu, Smt. Ruby Dhar, PA to DIG Traffic Jammu and other traffic Police officers/officials were present on the occasion.
