Srinagar, Dec 19 :

A major reshuffle in the administrative setup of Jammu and Kashmir is on the cards, with transfers of AGMUT cadre IAS officers expected soon, sources said on Friday.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that some IAS officers currently serving in Jammu and Kashmir are likely to be transferred out, while a few officers from outside the Union Territory may be inducted into J&K as part of the forthcoming cadre reshuffle by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

Following the issuance of these transfer and posting orders at the AGMUT cadre level, the J&K administration is also expected to carry out fresh transfers and postings at the IAS and Deputy Commissioner (DC) levels, sources added.

The anticipated administrative changes are also being seen to the superannuation of a senior IAS officer, Shantmanu currently holding many importantcharges in J&K, who is scheduled to retire on December 31, which may further pave the way for adjustments in key positions.

However, an official orders regarding the transfers is awaited. (KNC)
