Baramulla, December 31:
In a solemn and dignified ceremony held at Range Police Headquarters Baramulla, the Deputy Inspector General of Police North Kashmir Range Shri. Maqsood-ul-Zaman (IPS) felicitated police officers and officials of the North Kashmir Range who were recently conferred with the President’s Gallantry Medal (PGM) and Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak (KGDP). DIG NKR presented the prestigious scrolls received from the Presidential Secretariat and Ministry of Home Affairs to the awardees acknowledging their repeated acts of bravery and selfless service in the line of duty. The decorated officers include SP Mir Murtaza Hussain (JKPS) -ASP Sopore, HC Safeer Lone of District Kupwara, HC Hilal Ahmad Bhat of PD Sopore and SgCt Zamir Ahmad Khan of District Bandipora. The event marked a high-level recognition of the indomitable courage, grit and dedication displayed by J&K Police personnel in maintaining peace across the sensitive districts of North Kashmir.
Addressing the gathering DIG NKR Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman (IPS) emphasized that such honours are not merely personal milestones but serve as collective inspiration for the entire force. He urged all personnel to remain steadfast in their commitment to national security and public safety reiterating that the Jammu and Kashmir Police continue to be one of the most decorated forces in the country.
DIG NKR further advised the officers and officials to continue their exemplary efforts with renewed vigor ensuring a safer and more secure future for the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.
