A meeting of traders was held in Uri market under the leadership of Mohammad Yaseen Khan, President of the Kashmir Traders & Manufacturers Federation (KTMF), to discuss pressing issues faced by the trading community and local residents.
The meeting was attended by Er. Tariq Ahmad, President Baramulla, and Haji Mohammad Shafi, President Uri Beopar Mandal. Other prominent participants included Yasir Arfat Banday (General Secretary), Aijaz Ahmad Yatoo (Vice President), Bashir Ahmed Wathloo (Organizer), and Executive Members Mahtab Ahmed Sheikh, Tariq Jamal Moon, and Abdul Hamid Banday.
During the meeting, participants held detailed discussions on various challenges confronting traders, with special focus on the difficulties arising due to the ongoing road-widening work in Uri market. Concerns were raised regarding inconvenience to shopkeepers, pedestrians, and the general public.
The leadership emphasized the need for timely intervention by the concerned authorities and better coordination to ensure that development works proceed smoothly while minimizing hardship to traders and residents. The meeting concluded with a call for collective efforts to safeguard the interests of the business community and ensure public convenience.
