Renowned writer and poet from the Valley, Maqbool Firozi, was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in recognition of his valuable and longstanding contributions to Urdu language and literature.
The award was presented at a prestigious ceremony organized by the World Cultural and Educational Organization in New Delhi.
The event was attended by eminent personalities from various fields. The honorary degree was bestowed upon Maqbool Firozi by noted Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover, along with other distinguished dignitaries.
Maqbool Firozi is a prolific author and has written several books, earning him wide acclaim in literary circles for his dedication to Urdu literature.
He hails from Firozpura, Rafiabad, Baramulla, and is regarded as one of the prominent literary figures of the Valley.
