Leaders Honour Sacrifice of Brave Jawans
Srinagar, Feb 14 :
On the anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack, top national leaders paid tribute to the CRPF personnel who laid down their lives in the cowardly strike on February 14, 2019, remembering their courage, devotion, and supreme sacrifice.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a post on X, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC said, “Remembering the brave heroes who laid down their lives in Pulwama on this day in 2019. Their devotion, resolve and service to the nation remain forever etched in our collective consciousness. Every Indian draws strength from their enduring courage.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in a message translated from Hindi, stated, “I bow in respect to our valiant jawans who were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack. Terrorism is the greatest enemy of humanity, and India is resolutely committed to its complete eradication. The nation will always remain indebted to the courage, dedication and sacrifice of our security forces and agencies.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed, “Remembering and paying my heartfelt tributes to the brave CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the cowardly terror attack in Pulwama. The nation stands united in honouring their memory and in solidarity with their families. Their sacrifice remains a reminder of the grave threats posed by terrorism to our nation. India remains unwavering in its resolve to combat and eradicate terrorism in all its forms.”
Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan wrote, “I pay homage to the brave personnel who laid down their lives in the Pulwama terror attack. Their supreme sacrifice will forever remain etched in the nation’s memory and continues to inspire us to build a strong and secure India.”
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar also paid tribute, saying, “Tributes to the brave jawans who laid down their lives at Pulwama. Their sacrifice strengthens our resolve to pursue zero tolerance against cross-border terrorism.”
On February 14, 2019, a suicide bomber crashed his explosive-laden vehicle into a bus ferrying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel killing 40 jawans. (KNC)
