Katra, Mar 05 :
National Conference president Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Thursday said the Government of India should clearly state its position on the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran, warning that the situation could have serious global repercussions.
Speaking in Katra, Abdullah said that America attacking an independent nation was “wrong” and stressed that such actions could destabilize the region and affect the entire world.
He said the Indian government must give its official stance on the issue, adding that similar interventions had taken place in other countries as well. Abdullah cautioned that the escalating tensions could even trigger a wider global conflict if not handled carefully.
“The Indian government should be giving a statement on this. America has attacked an independent nation and it is wrong,” Abdullah said.
He further said that the ongoing conflict may have far-reaching consequences across the globe, warning that it could potentially lead to another world war if tensions continue to escalate.
Abdullah also noted that many Muslims are angered by the developments and protests are being witnessed in several places following the recent escalation in the region.
He called for restraint and urged the international community to work towards de-escalation and peace to prevent further instability in the region.(KNC)
